Hello, Hi!
A little bit about Colèchi, the research agency doing fashion differently.
Colèchi was started by powerhouse sisters Piarvé and Tina in 2018 on a mission to demystify and break into the fashion industry. Since then, we have grown into a research agency and fashion collective, uplifting the voices that fashion so urgently needs in the context of interconnected global socio-ecological crisis.
As a team we work to humanise clothing again through curation, workshops and insight; working in between brands, education and government in collaboration with our collective that includes growers, weavers, designers, media all the way back round to recycler.
In 2021, Colèchi set up a knitting club called You can Knit With Us (YKWU). A few members of our team wanted to learn the skill of knitting and we had tonnes of donated yarn and knitting needles. We invited our community to learn knitting with us which birthed our knitting club - which has a mission to connect people to the craft of cloth making through knitting, and has grown through monthly in person knitting clubs, alongside collaborations with heritage venues and museums across London.

Our Clean Fashion manifesto underlies everything that we do. We believe that by understanding and bringing awareness to the four key areas of the fashion supply chain – sourcing, making, media, afterlife – we can build a transparent and collaborative industry. Our first print journal AGREENCULTURE explores the beginning of the fashion supply chain, farming, through essays, writings and photography from over 32 leaders that merge fashion with agriculture, science, nature and ethics. The journal also features double page spreads exploring one year of YKWU through a scrapbook. Read more about it here.
