Masterclass: How to sell knitwear with Moya London
The first YKWU virtual masterclass of the year launches in February
Alongside our monthly knitting clubs, we’ve decided to launch virtual masterclasses throughout the year that will take place the Monday after each Sunday session. The first of the series starts in February!
The YKWU Masterclass series goes beyond our monthly knitting club to share knowledge on all things knitwear. Each month, on the Monday following the Sunday YKWU sessions, we will invite a special guest to lead a virtual session. On Monday 26th Feb at 7pm we are inviting the founder of Moya London, a London based luxury handbag company that produces made to order crochet bags.
About the masterclass
We met Moyang at a UKFT event last summer, and instantly connected on the topic of knitting and crochet. Moyang held a crochet bag from her brand and explained how it was founded during the lockdown and to her surprise received press and customers before establishing an official brand and website.
Often new businesses spend on their aesthetic before validating the market and building a customer base. In this masterclass, Moyang will share her story and tips on selling first, finding your customer base, managing production before investing in the marketing and brand. (Image from Moya London)
