This year, YKWU has encouraged us to think about the spaces of which craft exists - and what the growth of a craft culture looks like for the fashion sector.
As fashion rethinks how to source locally and ethically, we thought about how much we’ve learned from the craft industry - and are excited to be invited back to The Stitch Festival in London. This time we will be at The Lounge, hosting a YKWU session. If you will be attending come and say hello - sit and knit with us, flick through our print journal or learn a crochet pattern from designer Sarabi.
We find that The Stitch has helped us discover who is selling yarn, particularly items made locally, or that have part of the process done in the UK. It can easily turn into a day out - with talks and demo’s.
Doors open tomorrow, however we will only be around on Friday 21st from 10am, until closing. The Stitch takes place at the Business Design Centre.
