Spend a few hours with us on the upcoming bank holiday weekend where we will be making a knitted ribbed float bag.
May’s YKWU session is facilitated by Erica Collins, an Irish knitwear and textiles designer now based in London, who sources deadstock yarns and charity shop finds to create one-off pieces that challenge the stereotype of knitwear.
Erica’s collection includes intricate, lacey and revealing knits that can be worn to raves, parties, or when you want to feel empowered. Her garments have been worn by celebrities including Bimini Bon Boulash.
May’s session merges knitting with upcycling as Erica will show us how to make t-shirt yarn and create a float knit rib bag.
When: Sunday 26 May at 12pm
Where: The Lab E20, Stratford, London
You will be making
A float bag made from T-shirt yarn.
